This is for one brand new Avalon Acoustic
proprietary
black coated Titanium inverted dome composite
tweeter. I have many available. They were made to extremely exacting specs for Avalon Acoustics. They were used in
the Avalon NP and Symbol models. I was told they were also used in the
Eidolon 1 and IDEA early speakers. Look at the shape and they might fit other Avalon models as well.
These are great for DIY speakers or to buy as spares.

The most noteworthy characteristic is that Neil Patel has managed to remove the typical peak-the typical resonance for aluminum or titanium cones occur in the band between 22kHz and 23kHz, which causes coloring and sharp hardness in metal membranes. Even such producers as B & W or Focal are unable to remove this undesired effect completely."
As you can see from the pictures the tweeters have a protective cover that protects the cone and is then slid into the protective sleeve for safe shipping.

This is important as heat and humidity are the main deteriorating factors affecting audio equipment, especially speakers. Humidity attacks and accelerates deterioration of electronic circuitry and the flexible surrounds in speakers.

Testing

Audio/video equipment is tested for all basic functions and many secondary functions, but we cannot always test every feature and setting. Amps, receivers & speakers are connected & tested for FM tuning & playback from a CD, tape, DVD, phono, etc. CD, DVD & tape players/recorders are cleaned and tested for playback, record, FF & REW.  Any defects found are noted in the ad.
