VINTAGE FULL PAGE REVIEWS:
APRIL 1, 1967  "THE TORONTO SOUND"
JANUARY 17, 1970  "THE BAND COMES HOME"
"THE TORONTO SOUND" FEATURES ESSAYS ON CANADIAN ARTISTS WHO BEGAN THEIR CAREERS IN TORONTO'S YORKVILLE VILLAGE.  THIS FULL PAGE ARTICLE INCLUDES ALUMNUS ZAL YANOVSKY OF THE LOVIN' SPOONFUL, THE PAUPERS, UGLY DUCKLINGS AND THE BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD WHOSE MEMBERS INCLUDED CANADIANS NEIL YOUNG, DEWEY MARTIN AND BRUCE PALMER.
ALSO BRIEF MENTIONS FOR THE SPARROW, MANDALA AND THE GUESS WHO.
"THE BAND COMES HOME" IS A SALUTE TO YORKVILLE'S MOST FAMOUS ALUMNI WHO BY THEN HAD RELEASED "BIG PINK" AND PERFORMED AT WOODSTOCK.
BOTH PAGES HAVE BEEN PRESERVED REMARKABLY WELL.  ASIDE FROM SOME MINOR HANDLING WEAR AND MIDDLE FOLDS, THERE IS LITTLE EVIDENCE OF AGEING THAT IS TYPICALLY COMMON WITH EPHEMERA OF THIS VINTAGE.
I AM NOT AN EXPERT WITH GRADING THIS TYPE OF COLLECTABLE, BUT BASED ON INTERNATIONAL GRADING STANDARDS, I WOULD BE CONFIDENT TO ASSESS THESE AS FINE (FN) TO VERY FINE (VF), OR 5-6 OUT OF 10.
BOTH WILL DISPLAY HANDSOMELY UNDER GLASS AND FRAME.
